Citywide Prayer (monthly)
On the first Sunday of each month we gather to pray for the city and we aim to visit a different church each month. Between September 2021 and December 2023 we will have been hosted by 17 different churches. This meeting is open to all churches in the city and anyone is welcome to join us. We believe this monthly rhythm of praying together for our city is a small but significant point of continuity with all of the praying that goes on across the churches each week.
See Citywide Prayer.
Christians across Southampton are signing up to take on one specific hour of prayer each week. Could we fill all 168 hours in the week and end up with a continuous wave of prayer and worship across our dear city? See Pray 168.
Prayer walks with Street Pastors
Every 6 weeks or so we coordinate with Street Pastors in Southampton to pray in the locations that they patrol. More details…
Southampton Prayer Line
We have a prayer line for anyone in Southampton to send in their requests for prayer. People from across the churches have signed up to pray in unity together each day for the request that is sent out.
SoHOP exists because a group of Christians from different churches are committed to praying and serving the church in learning to pray together. See About us for more details.
We meet to pray together every Wednesday and (some of us) meet online every evening. We are listening to the Holy Spirit to try to understand what He is saying to us about how to pray for the city. You are welcome to join us!
[every day] 9.45PM Prayer Online: We host a 15-minute prayer time at 9.45pm every evening to pray together, and we usually include whatever has been requested on Southampton Prayer Line.
[every Wednesday] – 7.00pm at New Community, Sholing. (77 St Monica Road, SO19 8ES) We have a bring a share meal and then continue to learn and pray about how God is leading us to pray and promote prayer in Southampton.
